What
brand of shirts do you use?
We
use shirts that are made specifically to be screen printed
on. Some of those brands include Hanes, Jerzees, Gildan,
Fruit of the Loom, Anvil and Champion. Each brand offers
different colors in their 100% cotton, and their blended
(cotton/polyester) shirts. If you have a specific brand or
blend in mind, just let us know when you request a quote.
What
is the turnaround time for an order?
Our
normal turnaround time is between 5 – 10 working days from the
time we receive payment, depending on the complexity of the
order. If you need your order sooner, just give us a call and we
will see if we can accommodate your timeline.
Can
I provide my own artwork?
Yes,
you can provide your own artwork, but be sure to look at our Art
Requirements page for more details.
Can
I request a PMS or Pantone color for a design?
Yes,
you can but there will be an additional charge. Please let
us know your pantone color(s) at the time of your quote request
so we can include that in the pricing.
What
is the difference between vector art and bitmap art?
Vector
and bitmap (raster) art are two different types of electronic
file formats for graphics. In short, bitmaps are images
made up of pixels and will get grainy when enlarged, whereas
vectors are made up of lines and can be enlarged and never
change appearance.
Bitmap
graphics are composed of pixels, each of which contains
specific color information. A pixel is minutely small; a single
image may be composed of hundreds of thousands of individual
pixels. When you enlarge a bitmap image, you'll notice that the
image becomes grainy or rough looking as you begin to see the
individual pixels get larger. There are no sharp edges on
the image as it is enlarged. Adobe Photoshop, Corel
PhotoPaint, and Macromedia Fireworks and Paint Shop Pro are just
a few of the more popular Bitmap Editors. Common bitmap file
extensions include: .jpg, .gif, .png, .tif, and .bmp.
Vector
graphics consist of points, lines, and curves which, when
combined, can form complex objects. These objects can be
filled with solid colors, gradients, and even patterns.
Adobe Illustrator, Corel DRAW and Macromedia Freehand are the
predominate editors on the market. Common universal file formats
include .eps and .wmf and .svg. Unlike Bitmap graphics, it is
far more likely to see Vector files delivered in formats unique
to the programs which created them. Some popular program
specific extensions include .ai (Adobe Illustrator), .cdr (Corel
Draw), and .fla/.swf (Macromedia Flash).
Can
you design a shirt for me?
Yes,
we design shirts on a regular basis for clients. You can
look on our Samples page to see some
of the shirts we've designed for other clients.
What
about payment?
Payment
of 1/2 of the total amount is due for the project to
begin. The balance is due upon delivery of the
order. Payment can be made by cash or check.
How
much will my shirts cost?
There
are many variables that determine the cost of your shirt order.
Some of those variables include the quantity, color of the
garment, number of imprint locations and colors per imprint,
etc. Give us a call or send us an email today and we will
be glad to get you a quote.
Are
there price breaks for larger orders?
Yes,
like other forms of printing, the more you order, the less
expensive the price per shirt.
Give us a call or send us an email today and we will be glad to
get you a quote.
Is
there a minimum number of shirts I need to order?
We
have a minimum order of 12 shirt if we are screen printing your
order. But if you are needing fewer than 12 shirts, just
let us know. We may have other options available.
Why
do darker shirts cost more?
There
are a couple of items that factor in to darker shirts costing
more. The first is that darker shirts tend to cost more
from the manufacturer due to the more extensive dying
process. Another item that may or may not play a factor is
an "underbase". When we print a color on a dark
or black shirt, we sometimes need to put a layer of white ink
down under it so it appears bright. Without this step, the
colors do not show up well on the garment. This varies
depending on the garment, the artwork and the colors
required.
