Dave Cowley

Classic PR and Marketing Strategies President

 

Dave Cowley is a 21-year radio veteran with stints at WBAP-Dallas/Fort Worth, KLUR-Wichita Falls, KJNE -Waco, KYXS in Mineral Wells and KYQX 89.5 Radio in Weatherford. In 1993, Dave hosted a 4-hour nationally syndicated oldies radio show called “Class Reunion” to over 130 radio stations coast to coast. In 1996, Dave enlisted the talents of Garth Brooks, Shania Twain, Sammy Kershaw and many others to take his two hour Country/talk syndicated show, “The Red Rive Café” to radio stations across the Lone Star State.


In 2001, Dave was enlisted by Texas Bank to serve as Marketing/PR Officer. After 5 very successful years in that role and helping to take Texas Banks market share from 36 percent to 51 percent, he started his own firm CLASSIC PR & MARKETING STRATEGIES, dedicated to help area businesses grow with proven marketing techniques. 


To say that Dave is active in his community is an understatement. Dave is a proud member of Lions Club International. He has served on the Weatherford Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors, Parker County Peach Festival Steering committee, as well as the Chamber's Ambassadors program. 


Dave has also served on the Manna Store House Board of Directors. The children of Weatherford and Parker County are especially close to his heart as he serves as a trustee on the WISD School Board. He serves on the Board of Directors for the WISD Education Foundation as well as the Texas Scholars Program. Dave serves as President of Partners in Education and is a former member of the WISD Facilities committee. 


Dave has served on the advisory board for the Parker County Continuing Education program and advisory board for the United Way. Dave is active in Junior Achievement and is a past director of the Theater Off The Square board where he remains very active in the local theater. Dave has carried out lead roles in Weatherford College productions of “Guys and Dolls”, "Annie Get Your Gun and “Anything Goes” as well as starred in TOTS productions of “On Golden Pond”, “You Can't Take It With You” and "Communicating Doors". Dave has served on the Campbell Hospital Cutting' Capitol Celebration Committee as co-chairman of media relations. 


Dave's hobbies are acting, fishing and rock music concerts. Dave enjoys spending time with family; he and his wife Linda have a son, daughter, daughter-in-law, and two grandchildren, with another on the way!

 

 

Mark James

VP, Creative Director

 

 

With 10 years experience in the marketing and graphic design industry, Mark James is known by many to be the “swiss army knife of marketing”. Graduating from the Art Institute of Dallas in 1994, Mark has been given the opportunity acquire a vast array of hands on marketing experience in the real world. From media planning and buying, to production consulting and hands on design, Mark has seen what works and what doesn’t. 

In the summer of 2000, Mark launched his own design firm called Ark 7 Grafix. Ark 7 provided marketing support for many small to medium sized businesses including everything from logo and web design to print layout and consulting. Mark has designed for local clients as well as those in other countries.

Being interested in creativity, Mark is constantly on the lookout for new and innovative ways to express his creativity for clients. Whether it be new cutting edge software or a new medium, he is always learning and implementing the newest techniques and trends. 

On a personal note, Mark lives in Weatherford, TX and is married to Shaunda James, his wife of 10 years. He also has two children, Austin and Lauren. In his spare time he enjoys playing drums, home improvements and audio recording with his home studio equipment.
